A new race series for 2008 on UK race tracks, the TTRS is for pre 1994 saloon cars running on the fantastic track/road Toyo 888 tyre. Administered by SELOC members, the series is running to strict regulations to offer cost effective racing with the emphasis on fun without the pressures of championship status.
No club joining costs and a reasonable registration fee means more cash to spend on racing! Individual classes mean a varied and interesting spectrum of cars which will include Sierra Cosworth, Mazda RX7, Jaguars, Golf GTi, Escorts, Nova and AstraGTE, BMW M3, Peugeot 205 GTi,etc, etc.
Many cars from previous one make series such as super coupe cup are eligable and cars such as Rover Tomcat, Volkswagen Vento VR6, Volkswagen Polo G40 and Rover 216GTi will be seen. Also cars from the SELOC production BMW championship for 318/320 models get the chance to have a second race in TTRS within the lower capacity class.
Good grids are expected for this series after some promising races in 2007, with the now (in)famous Victor Meldrew trophy race at Brands Hatch closing the season. Details can be obtained by logging onto the SELOC forum or calling 07900 335724 for more info.
